 Pumpkin Pie Illusion

Make your Jack-O-Lantern smell just like pumpkin pie, baking in the oven, with Pumpkin SFXTM.

 Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

To roast your pumpkin seeds, do not wash them first! Washing removes all the natural flavor. Instead, remove the seeds from the strings and place a single layer on a cookie sheet. Add salt to taste and bake at 300° until dry, stirring occasionally.

 Black Cat's Litterbox Cake

    Ingredients

    • 2 vanilla cake mixes (or 1 vanilla and 1 german chocolate)
    • 1 package Golden Oreos® (or generic white sandwich cookies)
    • 1 small package vanilla instant pudding mix
    • 10-12 small (0.5 ounce) Tootsie Rolls®
    • 10-12 blue and green Froot Loops® (or generic) cereal pieces (optional)
    • 1 new cat litter box
    • 1 new cat litter box liner (optional)
    • 1 new cat litter sifter

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the cake mixes and bake according to the instructions, using any size pan. Allow the cakes to cool, and crumble into a large bowl.
    2. Prepare the pudding mix and chill.
    3. Using a food processor or blender, crumble the sandwich cookies. Separate half of the crumbs and set aside. If you do not have blender, you can crumble the cookies by hand into a large pot or bowl, then using the bottom of a coffee mug, pulverize the cookies into smaller pieces.
    4. Mix the cake crumbs and half the cookie crumbs. Fold in the pudding, and spread the mixture evenly in the cat litter pan.
    5. By hand, crumble the cereal pieces and mix with the remaining cookie crumbs.
    6. Unwrap the Tootsie Rolls® and place in a bowl of hot tap water for a minute or two to soften. Using your hands, shape several Tootsie Rolls® into "cat turds" and bury in the cake.
    7. Evenly sprinkle the remaining cookie crumb and cereal mix on top of the cake.
    8. Add the remaining Tootsie Rolls® to the top of the cake. Try rolling some of the Tootsie Rolls® in the crumbs for effect.
    9. Place the litter box on a newspaper and serve with the new litter sifter.
